Why MSG?

Over the past decade, we’ve seen far too many incidents in which a small medical issue ballooned into a major emergency due to lack of knowledge and familiarity with the Israeli healthcare system as well as typical bureaucratic obstacles and red tape.

Yeshiva & seminary students, as young adults in a foreign country, are particularly likely to neglect their health due to the overwhelming feeling of confusion & frustration when dealing with an unfamiliar healthcare system. For those from Anglo countries, the mentality & styles of service are very different here. Things like the lack of connections, differences of culture & something as basic as the language barrier can make an everyday task, which would be seemingly simple like making an appointment with the right doctor feel like an insurmountable challenge. In critical situations, these essentially simple tasks can seem near impossible.

Today MSG comprises multiple departments and services among them; the medical flight department, Hospital-In-Home care department, medical consultation & advocacy department and our student health department.

The staff at MSG fill a unique niche; providing healthcare case management to any Anglo in Israel. Our hotline is answered 24/7 by English speaking medical professionals, who have years of experience working within the Israeli medical system. We set appointments, assist in filling out paperwork, accompany our members to doctors and procedures, keep overseas family & guardians updated and aid in insurance claims.
